The GL12 KTM team have added strength to their formidable team in the form of young hot shot Ike Carter.

14 year Carter is a definite talent. He dominated the small wheel 85cc class in 2016 after coming back from a badly broken leg, before another unfortunate injury set him back a little bit. But now, like many teenagers, he's suddenly had a growth spurt and is back to full fitness and ready to go.....and man, he is going! He already looks fast and comfortable on his new DEP powered GL12 KTM 125. It's great to have another young, British talent as part of our DEP Powered team.

"I'm really looking forward to 2018. I was before, but even more now. I know I'm on a good team with a good bike and I also have James (Dunn) and Mike (Kras) to help me. Bob (Buchanan), has given me this chance and I want to show him I'm good enough for the support. I'll mostly be racing the MX Nationals and BYN, but we're hoping to also race in the British 2 stroke championship and some EMX125 rounds later in the year. I feel good on the bike and I'm just really keen to get racing now!"

Team manager Bob Buchanan is also pleased with his new signing. "The kid looks good and has taken to the bike really well. Of course, it's early days and it's always difficult to say where he's going to be at in a new class, but from what I've seen so far I'm pretty confident he'll be the sharp end in the British scene. European racing will be much harder for obvious reasons but it's all part of a rider's learning curve. Either way, it will be an exciting year and we're pleased to have a young British talent on the team."

Good luck Ike, from us all at DEP. Keep it pinned!
