DEP supported Team Green rider Lewis Hall made a dream start to his MXY2 career taking the overall win at the opening round of the Maxxis British championship at the weekend.

The 14 year old from Derby came out swinging in his first ever Maxxis British championship event and also his first MXY2 race on a 250. After a successful 2016 racing the KX85, finishing 5th in the European 85cc championship Lewis has obviously adapted to the KXF250 really well. In tough, technical conditions at Culham following a lot of overnight rain he rode two controlled races going 2-1 to take the overall on his first attempt, coming from outside the top five in both motos to get the job done and will now go into the next round at Lyng with even more confidence.

Fellow MXY2 DEP supported rider Howard Wainwright on his Redline Honda also performed well. After qualifying in third just behind Hall he then had a misfortunate opening moto after a crash, but worked hard back up to 11th. He redeemed himself in the second moto though taking a third to give him 5th overall.

Good work lads, proud to be supporting you both.
